Description
In the middle of the Eocene geological period, between 50 and 40 million years ago, several climatic changes occurred on Earth, during which the most important mountain ranges were formed, including the Pyrenees. At that time, the sea that covered most of what is now the Iberian mountain range retreated, leaving behind deposits of gypsum, minerals and red clays. Today, at a depth of 700 metres, we extract a salt full of potassium and low in sodium that retains great properties and is free of marine pollutants. The crystals are selected without any refining process, which means that they retain all the minerals that the ancient sea contained, especially potassium. These crystals melt quickly in the mouth, leaving a smooth and long-lasting flavour.
