Fossil® Salt Petals is a salt in the form of pyramidal crystals, with a very mild flavour due to its mineral origin and its high content of trace elements, which unlike some marine flake salts, does not have that slightly bitter aftertaste. When adding Salt Petals when serving, they fuse into the dish, enhancing the flavours of the food. It has a fairly mild smoky flavour and smell, it is smoked with a natural fire, the hot smoke attaches to the salt and gives it a soft wood flavour.
